ILLINOIS PREMATURE INFANT
HEALTH NETWORK
|
The Illinois Premature Infant Health Network (IPIHN) brings together
physicians, hospitals and community and health organizations to increase
quality health care access for premature infants and their families in
Illinois. |
 |
As
increased premature births affect more and more families, especially those
with lower incomes, IPIHN is examining the resources available to families
once they leave the NICU. In their lifetimes, premature infants in Illinois
face an increased risk of, among other issues, serious developmental
problems, vision and hearing impairment, and chronic respiratory disease.
