ABOUT US
A project of the
Illinois Maternal and Child Health Coalition, CKF-IL is a
statewide coalition of public and private leaders in health,
education, business, government, faith, and social service
organizations. Through our advocacy and outreach efforts, we ensure
that all Illinois families can get the health care they need through
Medicaid, SCHIP, and other state healthcare programs.
CKF-IL, its
members, and other partners have succeeded in making these programs
more visible and accessible for Illinois families. As a result
Illinois is recognized nationally as a leader in children’s’
healthcare coverage. With the passage of
All Kids, Illinois became the first state in the nation to
offer comprehensive, affordable health insurance to all children --
regardless of family income, immigration status, or pre-existing
medical condition. Illinois has also been a leader in expanding
coverage to income-eligible parents and caregivers through the
creation of
FamilyCare.
