DuPage County Health Department and CDH
partner with
Osco Drug Pharmacy and Dominick’s so
more people get flu shots this year
39 Osco and Dominick’s
locations offer $5 gift card to people who get shots
The DuPage County
Health Department is working closely with several community partners to
make it easier for residents to obtain flu shots. The health department
believes that more people will get flu shots if the shots are available
closer to home.
To reach that goal,
the health department and Central DuPage Hospital are working with Osco
Drug Pharmacy and Dominick’s to promote their flu shot services. The
health department will still be giving flu shots on a limited basis, but
encourages people to use Osco Drug Pharmacy and Dominick’s. All Osco
Drug Pharmacy and Dominick’s locations in DuPage County will offer flu
shots after vaccine has arrived, usually in October.
Persons getting their
flu shots at Osco Drug Pharmacy or Dominick’s will receive an
appreciation coupon that they may present at any Chicagoland Dominick’s
or Osco Drug Pharmacy to receive $5 off their next in-store purchase.
They should see the pharmacy for additional details. This offer is valid
Oct. 1, 2007 through Dec. 31, 2007.
For information and
locations go to
www.dupagehealth.org/flu.
The health department
will still give flu shots to children and their families, and senior
groups in certain community situations.
Please tell family
members and friends about the importance of getting a flu shot this
year. For information on flu shots, contact your nearest Osco Drug
Pharmacy or Dominick’s or call the health department at (630) 682-7400.
